EXO’s CBX is alleging more instances of unfair treatment by SM and is holding a press conference in regards to this matter!

CBX’s agency, INB100, will hold an emergency press conference on the 10th of June in a hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. Chairman Cha Gawon, INB100 CEO Kim Dongjoon, and lawyer Lee Jaehak will be in attendance.

INB100 stated, “Last year in June, CBX successfully resolved the termination of exclusive contract and filed a complaint with the Fair Trade Commission through a joint statement with SM Entertainment.”

They continued, “At that time, both parties negotiated and resolved the situation with the understanding that EXO’s normal activities were the most important. Personal activities under the namesake of CBX have been carried out through INB100.”

However, they claimed that SM’s demands were unfair. INB100 argued, “SM Entertainment is demanding that we pay ‘10% of the artist’s personal activity earnings’ without considering the negotiated contents and premises of the agreement.”

CBX has sent proof of the allegations to SM, but SM has not responded for over two months, according to INB100. As a result, they announced during the emergency press conference that they will file a complaint against SM for unfair treatment. Previously, in June of last year, CBX notified SM of their termination of exclusive contract due to opaque accounting. They agreed to maintain the exclusive contract with SM but conduct personal activities independently under INB100. However, after one year, disagreements resurfaced, hinting at a possible conflict
