Fans’ excitement is rising as EXO has begun full-fledged activities for the first time in four years and four months.
In particular, all eight members attend fan meetings in Korea and Japan, drawing attention. In addition, news of the new album, which is expected to be a full-length album this year, was also reported.
According to their agency SM Entertainment on March 1, EXO will hold a fan meeting “EXO’ CLOCK” to commemorate the 11th anniversary of their debut at KSPO DOME in Seoul Olympic Park from April 8-9.
They will also hold a fan meeting at the Saitama Belluna Dome in Japan from April 15-16. It is the first time in five years that their fan meeting is being held in Japan.
The fan meeting will be attended by all eight members, including Baekhyun, who was recently discharged, as well as Suho, Xiumin, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun.
EXO’s full-length activities are the first since the title track “Love Shot” of their fifth full-length repackage album released in December 2018.
In addition, EXO will release a new album this year, which is expected to be their seventh full-length album.
Earlier, some members did not participate in the 6th full-length album “OBSESSION” released in November 2019 and the special album “DON’T FIGHT THE FEELING” released in June 2021.
Meanwhile, EXO is a 2.5th generation K-pop group, and they are evaluated as the 3rd generation K-pop group that started the worldview in earnest.
Since 2013, EXO has recorded five consecutive Million seller albums. Of course, it is the cumulative sales of the Chinese version or repackaged album (BTS in 2017 is the first group that has surpassed 1 million copies with a single album since 2001), but it is undeniable that EXO played a catalyst in the rapid increase in album sales of the 3rd and 4th generations of K-pop groups based on fandom.
