Media Outlet Alleges EXO’s Winter Album Preparations Have Been Scrapped Due To The Ongoing SM- EXO-CBX Feud, EXO-CBX Denies And SM Explains

Amid deepening conflicts within SM Entertainment and EXO-CBX, reports emerged that EXO’s full group comeback has been canceled due to this issue.

In response to the surprising report, INB100 denied this in an official statement on June 11th.

The agency explained that the press conference held on the 10th was intended to address the unfairness of paying 10% of individual artists’ revenue to SM, which violated the initial agreement among other things, however, EXO-CBX’s commitment to EXO activities have not changed.

They stated, “It has no relation to the continuation of EXO’s full group activities. ChenBaekXi (CBX) will continue to faithfully carry out activities with SM and EXO as promised to fans.”

On the 10th of June, Kim Dongjun, the representative of INB100, and Cha Gawan, the representative of INB100’s parent company One Hundred, held an urgent press conference claiming SM’s unfair treatment. You can read all the details of the allegations here.

Regarding this matter, SM released an official statement on the same day promising legal action against the three idols and their agency and denied all the accusations made, read about it here.

After EXO-CBX’s response, SM Entertainment also issued a statement and a clarification regarding to the reports.

On the 11th, SM stated, “It is true that we were planning to release an EXO album, and there have been no additional discussions regarding changes in the plan.”
