EXID’s Hani And Yang Jae Woong Ultimately Delay Wedding Ceremony After Patient’s Death At His Clinic

The wedding between psychiatrist Dr. Yang Jae Woong and EXID member and actress Hani (real name Ahn Hee-yeon) has been postponed.

On September 3, Mystic Story, Dr. Yang’s agency, officially announced that the couple, who were scheduled to marry in September, decided to delay their wedding. The agency clarified that a new date has not been set yet but emphasized that there has been no change in their relationship.

The postponement comes amid speculation that it may be related to the recent controversy involving the death of a patient at Dr. Yang’s clinic in Bucheon. The patient, identified as A (33), died on July 26th after being treated for addiction to a diet drug containing narcotic substances. The patient’s family has accused the medical staff, including Dr. Yang, of negligence during the treatment process.

Previously, EXID’s Hani‘s agency has refrained from commenting on the death of the patient after various attacks against Hani emerged.

There were rumors about Hani delaying her wedding due to the incident, but her agency had refused to comment until today when the news of the wedding postponement was announced. Hani has also stepped down from a variety show appearance presumably due to this issue.
