EXID’s Hani Reportedly Postponing Her Wedding To Psychiatrist Yang Jae Woong To The Death Incident At His Hospital
There are rumors that the upcoming wedding of EXID’s Hani’s and Yang Jae Woong, originally planned for September, has been postponed.
According to an OSEN investigation on the 2nd of August, singer and actress Hani and psychiatrist Yang Jae Woong, who were set to marry in September, are considering postponing their wedding due to the aftermath of a recent patient death incident. Hani’s agency, Sublime, responded to OSEN by saying, “We cannot confirm the details related to the wedding postponement,” neither denying nor confirming the rumors.
Her fiance’s agency also issued a similar response stating they cannot confirm or deny such rumors.
Previously, EXID’s Hani‘s agency has refrained from commenting on the death of a patient at a psychiatric hospital run by her boyfriend, psychiatrist and broadcaster Yang Jae Woong after various attacks against Hani emerged.
According to the Bucheon Wonmi Police Station, a woman in her 30s, identified as A, died on May 27 at around 3:30 a.m. at a hospital in Bucheon, 17 days after being admitted. A’s cause of death was presumed to be a pseudo-intestinal obstruction, and she had been admitted to the hospital for treatment of diet pill addiction containing narcotics.
Due to the timeline of events, netizens soon discovered that Hani had confirmed her marriage news a couple of days after the incident happened. Netizens reacted strongly to the news that the couple had announced a joyous event shortly after the death. The woman had died on May 27, but Hani and Yang Jae Woong had announced their wedding plans on May 31st, mere couple of days after the woman’s untimely death.
The situation remains sensitive and the couple’s wedding plans are currently uncertain.
