The allegations into APRIL members bullying and DSP media response is getting massive attention from the media after the recent claims posted.

As previously reported, former APRIL member Hyunjoo’s younger brother accused the group members and former member Somin [now in KARD] of bullying his sister to the point she had panic disorder, suffered from shortness of breath and attempted suicide.

Up until March 3, DSP released two statements, the first one was vague and didn’t provide much explanation garnering much backlash from the public, this was followed by the second one which was more detailed and went through a list of the accusations listed by the brother and denied each and every one of them.

After DSP’s second statement denying the bullying accusations, more people have come out since then, some showing support to the APRIL members while others showing support to Hyunjoo.

Netizens have since begun sharing gifs, videos and instances showing how APRIL members treated Hyunjoo. The issue didn’t die down and in the early hours of March 3, the younger brother posted the medical records of his sister as a proof that she attempted to commit suicide. The brother added that his sister alerted the agency multiple times about the bullying she suffered on the members hands but the managers and the agency were bystanders.

The post has since gone viral with the reactions towards APRIL and DSP being very negative. To combat this, DSP responded with a firm statement stating that the claims are groundless and that they will do their best to protect APRIL members from these accusations.

DSP stated that they have attempted to “fulfilled its duties toward its artist by meeting with Lee Hyunjoo and her mother twice,” but “Lee Hyunjoo insisted on her one-sided claims,” and following her younger brother new medical evidence reveal which DSP calls a “one-sided post,” they have decided to stop the dialogue and have decided to sue him, his sister as well as her family members,

“The agency has done its best to protect both Lee Hyunjoo and the APRIL members, but from now on, we will be taking strong legal action in both criminal and civil lawsuits against Lee Hyunjoo, as well as her family members and acquaintances who have spread these allegations online.”
