These famous 97-liners are in hot waters!
On May 18, Dispatch released an explosive report claiming that BTS’s Jungkook, Seventeen’s Mingyu, NCT’s Jaehyun, and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo were the rumored idols who had visited Itaewon clubs on April 25.
Previously, reports about two idols visiting those clubs during the cluster outbreak spread like wildfire, back then, the rumors were shut down but now they have resurfaced with the help of Dispatch.
The 97-liners have reportedly visited a restaurant and went to two different clubs. Back then, the government had issued a statement demanding everyone who visited Itaewon clubs from April 24th to May 6th stay at home for 14 days.
This is where the issues grow potentially bigger. The four idols have tested negative for initially, but the coronavirus takes up for 14 days to show up in individuals. They were supposed to stay home until May 10th which wasn’t what happened. On the same day they visited the club, the Korean government had issued a notice urging citizens to perform social distancing due to the new cluster outbreak.
Cha Eun Woo went to all of ASTRO’s comeback promotions including radio appearances and such. Jaehyun MC’ed for ‘Inkigayo’ on the 26th, 3rd, and the 10th. On the other hand, Jungkook and Mingyu had no official schedule. The backlash is severe for both Cha Eun Woo and Jaehyun.
Currently, Fantagio and big hit have released initial statements telling the press they’re looking into the reports.
According to Dispatch, one of the clubs the four idols visited actually had received a ban on group gatherings because it’s a cross between a bar and a club where social distancing is very difficult.
