Famous SM Entertainment Choreographer Shim Jaewon is making headlines for his comments about SM.

Choreographer Shim Jaewon is known for his unique choreography designs; he’s worked with SM artists for 20 years. He worked with some of the biggest SM idol groups such as TVXQ, Super Junior, f(x), SHINee, Red Velvet, and EXO.

On November 18, he asked fans to ask anything they’re curious about via Instagram stories; some of his answers were very interesting to say the least.

He answered questions about EXO, Red Velvet, SHINee, f(x) and so many others; he also answered fans questions about SM, those who were curious about how the agency works.

One fans said, “I want to find a job in SM,” he answered with, “why would you?”

Another fan asked him to name the strengths of SM, he said, “I will once I find one.” And when asked what the good things about working at SM were, he said, “I don’t know?”

A fan also asked him to explain in five syllables how it felt working with SM for more than 20 years, he shocked fans with his response, he said,

“Where you learn life is bitter.”

Judging by Shim Jaewon’s replies to fans’ questions, he seems not completely happy being part of the one of the big three. Some found his replies rude, others found them insightful.

What do you personally think of his answers?

  1. How can it be rude if he is only answering all the questions with his own opinion. If he feels fair or unfair treatment while working at SM, he has rights to express them. It is not being ungrateful. It is about freedom to express oneself.

    1. Contract is my guess…it hard for an artist to find a job and to break a contract is not only hard but cost quite a lump sum and a risk to his reputation.

  2. How can people say his answers are rude when they promptly asked him about it? Senseless. When he is ready to answer it, you judge him without trying to understand why.
