The production team of tvN’s “Dancing Queens on the Road” has issued an official statement regarding the controversy surrounding the Seoul performance.

On the 10th of July, the production team of “Dancing Queens on the Road” expressed gratitude to the fans who attended the “Dancing Queens on the Road” in Seoul performance on the evening of the 9th and also apologized for any inconvenience caused during the performance and operation on that day.

This was in relation to the concert “Dancing Queens on the Road” held at Hwajung Gymnasium, Korea University on the 9th. The performance was a paid concert. However, reviews of the performance were negative, with criticism stating that it did not meet the standards of a paid concert. In response to the criticism, the production team of “Dancing Queens on the Road” provided an explanation and apology regarding the related controversy.

Here is the full translation of their statement:

Hello, we are the production team of “Dancing Queens on the Road.”
First of all, we would like to express our gratitude to the many fans who attended the “Dancing Queens on the Road” in Seoul performance on Sunday evening.
We would also like to apologize for any inconvenience caused during the performance and operation on that day. Due to the nature of the concert, which was held alongside the broadcast recording, the preparation time for each stage took longer than expected. A power outage occurred during the final rehearsal process on the day of the performance due to severe rain, resulting in unforeseen errors in special effects and electronic equipment during the stage performance, causing the performance to end later than scheduled. We sincerely apologize for the inadequate facilities for the audience, the preparation and progress of the stage, which caused inconvenience to the audience and artists. We ask for your deep understanding.
We would like to provide some explanations regarding the details of the performance. The Wanderers members and the production team made dedicated efforts to showcase song selections, stages, and new songs that were not shown in previous performances, as this Seoul performance is the official final stage of “Dancing Queens on the Road.” After extensive discussions, we completed the stage production from song selection to staging, and except for four guest stages out of a total of 20 stages, the entire performance was centered around the story of the Wanderers.
Rain, Taemin, Zico, HyunA, Seulgi, and Jessi participated in the Seoul performance, adding brilliance to the stage alongside the Wanderers members. In particular, Rain, Taemin, and Zico prepared solo stages of approximately 5-6 minutes each, creating a representative medley and making the performance more abundant. Thanks to their contributions, we were able to effectively fill the time for costume changes and stage transitions.
There were no mid-show exits for audience members going to the restroom. For those without tickets among those moving to the restroom, they were escorted by security personnel to confirm their location and assisted in re-entry. For re-entry spectators, the waiting and entry timing was extended right after a prolonged wait, allowing them to enter between songs. Additionally, when an emergency patient occurred during the performance, on-site emergency rescuers promptly conducted transportation and treatment. We would like to express our gratitude to the audience for their cooperation.
We would like to apologize once again to the fans who experienced inconvenience and express our gratitude to everyone who supports “Dancing Queens on the Road” and those who attended the Seoul performance. We will continue to make meticulous efforts to become a more beloved program in the future.
