Guess who’s also projected to score a Grammy nomination?
It’s been recently revealed that BTS was entered for a total of six Grammy nominations; Big hit had also submitted BTS for nominations. It’s been also revealed that BLACKPINK label YG Entertainment has submitted for a nomination for the group in the “Best New Artist” category.
If nominated they could go up against other rising talents such as Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, and Calum Scott.
Billboard predicts that BLACKPINK could end up making it to the official nominees list when discussing artists who would likely score a nomination at the prestigious award show,
“hitmakers Blackpink have made unprecedented commercial inroads as a K-pop girl group in America.”
The nominees’ selection process is already underway; the first round of voting began On September 25 and will continue until October 10. To meet the eligibility criteria, Songs and albums must have been released from October 1, 2018 to August 31, 2019.
Nominations will only be announced on November 20. The final round of voting to choose the winners will begin on December 10 and ends on January 3, 2020.
