A mediation proposal between Chuu, a former member of the group LOONA, and her agency Blockberry Creative has failed.

According to legal circles on March 27, the 12th Civil Affairs Department (C) of the Seoul Northern District Court held a mediation date after Chuu made a mediation decision ahead of the civil lawsuit pleading date for confirming the absence of the exclusive contract against Blockberry Creative. Mediation resolution is a process of resolving a lawsuit through mutual understanding between the parties, and goes through the process of reaching an agreement between the two sides through the mediation date. As the mediation fails, the lawsuit over the exclusive contract between Chuu and Blockberry is expected to be prolonged.

Earlier in November last year, Blockberry Creative said it confirmed that Chuu had verbally abused the staff. They also announced the expulsion of Chuu from LOONA and the agency.

In December of last year, Blockberry Creative submitted a petition to the Korea Entertainment Management Association and the Korea Entertainment Producers Association to ban Chuu from performing in the entertainment industry arguing it was because Chuu violated her management contract by tampering with another agency even though she was under Block Berry Creative.

Meanwhile, Chuu is the only member of group LOONA who has filed both an injunction to suspend the validity of the exclusive contract and a lawsuit to confirm the non-existence of the exclusive contract. In an injunction to suspend the validity of the exclusive contract, some of the cases were ruled in favor.
