Teen Top‘s leader C.A.P has departed his group!
In a recent live broadcast, C.A.P expressed anger at comments from fans pointing out his swearing, drinking, and smoking. This resulted in the agency releasing an apology but assuring fans a comeback is still happening.
On May 11, their agency issued a statement to announce his departure from the group, they wrote,
This is T.O.P Media. We sincerely thank all the fans who have been sending their love to Teen Top. After discussing with the Teen Top members, we have decided to part ways with C.A.P starting today. Teen Top will reorganize as a four-member group consisting of Chunji, Niel, Ricky, and Changjo.
We deeply apologize for any concerns caused by C.A.P’s reckless words and actions. We take full responsibility for all of this and promise to make every effort to manage our artists better in the future.
Further details regarding Teen Top’s comeback will be announced in due time after discussing with the members. Thank you.
Teen Top has recently gained renewed popularity on MBC’s “What are you doing?” and is preparing for a new album with the goal of a comeback in July, raising expectations from fans for full-group activities. This upcoming album will be their first album in three years since the special album “To You 2020” was released in 2020.
