Teen Top‘s former leader C.A.P has issued an apology for his recent live broadcast that ultimately resulted in his departure from the group ahead of their highly anticipated comeback.

In a recent live broadcast, C.A.P expressed anger at comments from fans pointing out his swearing, drinking, and smoking. This resulted in the agency releasing an apology but assuring fans a comeback is still happening. On May 11, their agency issued a statement to announce his departure from the group.

After their statement, C.A.P issued an apology via his Instagram account, he wrote,

Hello, this is Bang Min-soo [his real name].
Firstly, I would like to apologize to those who were hurt by my words and actions.
Although I was aware that there could be controversy, I acted selfishly and only thought of myself.
I knew that my actions were hurtful to those who trusted and supported me, as well as to my fellow members who have been closer than brothers to me for a long time.
I felt like I was wearing clothes that didn’t fit me for a long time, and now I have committed an unjustifiable act and want to take off those clothes.
There is no excuse for my mistake and negligence.
I apologize sincerely to my younger brothers and the company who have understood my immature actions, and to the fans who were surprised and hurt by my behavior.
I hope that there will be no more damage to the members of Teen Top and the company who have been working hard for a comeback.
Thank you to everyone who has loved Teen Top’s CAP until now. I am truly grateful.

Teen Top has recently gained renewed popularity on MBC’s “What are you doing?” and is preparing for a new album with the goal of a comeback in July, raising expectations from fans for full-group activities. This upcoming album will be their first album in three years since the special album “To You 2020” was released in 2020.
