Newly Debuted Girl Group Burvey With Average Age Of 14.5 Causes Shock, Youngest Member Is Only 12 Years Old
The youngest K-pop girl group, Burvey, with an average age of 14.5, has made their debut stirring reactions for how young the members are.
The group, comprising members Juha, Jua, Yuran, Seoyoon, and Youyi, released their pre-debut single, “Clap,” on November 6 across various music platforms.
The members average age has gained a lot of attention among netizens considering how young all of them are. Burvey is being dubbed the youngest kpop girl group due to the ages of the members.
The youngest member, Seoyoon, was born in 2012, making her one of the youngest currently active kpop idols across the board. Seoyoon is only 12 years old.
This begs the question of whether its right for such young girls to debut as such a young age and work in the grueling kpop industry.
The oldest members of the group are also extremely young being born in 2010, which makes them around 14 years old.
According to their label, “Clap” blends funk and new jack swing, encapsulating the 90s dance sound with a catchy beat and a Gen X-inspired melody. Produced by Park Sung Ho from the dance group Goofy, the song showcases a high level of polish. Burvey also reinterprets retro vibes with a modern twist.
With “Clap,” Burvey is set to engage audiences but many are skeptical due to how young the members are.
