On December 9th, JTBC Entertainment News reported, “BTS Jimin will participate in the BIGBANG Taeyang’s solo album which is scheduled to release in January next year.”
In this regard, YG Entertainment expressed a cautious stance to Daily Sports, saying, “It has not been confirmed yet.”
If Taeyang confirms the release, it will be his first comeback in about six years. Taeyang released his solo album “White Night” in August 2017.
BTS temporarily halted group activities in June and are focusing on individual activities. J-Hope, Jin, and RM released solo albums and Jungkook is doing various activities, including participating in the theme song of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
If the collaboration between Taeyang of BIGBANG, the representative K-pop group, and Jimin of BTS is held, it is expected to be one of the most anticipated collaborations.
BIGBANG became a four-member group after Seungri’s departure and released a new single, “Still Life” in April this year. There was no other activity of the group.
