BTS J-Hope and Becky G collab is here!
As soon as the world knew about the collab, BTS J-Hope and Becky G dropped it.
“Chicken Noodle Soup” was released on September 27 at 6 pm. KST, the song sampled the chorus of Webstar and Young B’s 2006 track “Chicken Noodle Soup,” it was revealed that J-Hope first came across that song when he was a young trainee.
The song is sung in English, Korean and Spanish. It also came with a dance challenge titled #CNSChallenge; it was also revealed that fellow BTS members would be participating in the challenge.
The MV which dropped a couple of hours ago was directed by Lumpens, who had previously worked with BTS on many of their famous MVs. It was revealed through Korean news outlets, that J-Hope and Becky G mutual love for the original song brought them together for this collab. They shared a couple of selfies ahead of its release.

My Personal Thoughts
First, I am glad ARMY are happily celebrating this collab and showing their support for Hoseok.
To me personally, the song is a miss and I don’t understand why they made it. I like Hoseok part (lyrically speaking) but the overall flow didn’t land well for me. I am no music expert so I am merely talking about my personal thoughts, but to me, this song is not something I’d listen to again.
The chorus part of Chicken Noodle Soup kinda sticks in your memory but other than that, I couldn’t remember a single thing after my first listen. and no, its not because its Korean. I listen to Korean songs (duh!) but not even the English parts stuck with me.
It’s obviously not my cup of tea but I am glad to see many ARMY enjoying it.
The MV and the choreo are amazing, probably the best part about this. It almost felt as if this song was made to be a tik tok challenge, it checks all the boxes and the boys recently joined the platform and brought in hundreds of thousands of new users who wouldn’t have even thought of joining if it weren’t for BTS.
Regardless, I wish JHope all the best. Reactions on twitter are super cute to read! Fighting!
