BTS are one of the many many Korean celebrities who congratulated Director Bong Joon Ho and the cast of “Parasite” on their historic Oscars wins.

The 92nd Academy Awards took place in Los Angeles on February 9 (local time) and Bong Joon Ho’s “Parasite” took home four historic wins.

“Parasite” was nominated for 6 awards and walked home with four, Original Screenplay, International Feature Film, Directing, and most notably, Best Picture, which is the highest accolade of the night. “Parasite” broke so many records not only on the Korean level but also Asian and worldwide levels, with director Bong Joon Ho tying with Walt Disney who also won four Oscars in 1953.

BTS posted screenshots of Choi Woo Sik and director Bong Joon Ho, they wrote,

“To director Bong Joon Ho, I really really really truly really congratulate you.”

In the hashtag they added, ‘saw you tearing up, woo sik.’

While the tweet wasn’t signed as usual for BTS twitter account, many believe it was posted by V who is a close friend of Choi Woo Sik.
