2019’s YouTube Rewind is here and as expected, various Kpop groups were featured but this time in a different format.
Last year YouTube rewind angered many BTS fans for the way BTS were used, ARMY were upset with YouTube for taking advantage of BTS while taking away their views despite fans’ efforts to help them score new records with each comeback.
This year Kpop groups were featured but in a totally different format, this time the rewind was basically a top 10/5 video, YouTube counted down the top 10s/5s of various YouTube related statistics.
BTS made it twice in the top 10 most liked music videos, J-Hope hit track “Chicken Noodles Soup” made it at number 9 with over 5.8 million likes, BTS “Boy With Luv” was at number 2 with 12.8 likes. BLACKPINK “Kill This Love” was also featured at number 3 with 10.8 million likes.
MAMAMOO also made it, the group’s popular dance practice video with 1Million dance studio for their hit track “gogobebe” is the third most liked dance video on YouTube in 2019.
At the end of the video they also referenced BTS “Boy With Luv” as the biggest ever 24 hour debut in all of YouTube’s history.
