BTS And BLACKPINK Snags Many Nominations For The 2020 MTV EMAs+ Rising Kpop Groups Nominated For Best Korean Act
BTS and BLACKPINK have received many nominations for The 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs).
BTS received a total of five nominations this year while BLACKPINK received three.
BTS’s “Dynamite” is up for Best Song competing against: DaBaby’s “Rockstar” featuring Roddy Ricch, Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now,” Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me,” Roddy Ricch’s “The Box,” and The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.”
BTS is also up for Best Pop alongside Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Little Mix.
The Biggest Fan award nominees include BTS, BLACKPINK, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift.
BTS and BLACKPINK are also both nominated for Best Group award alongside 5 Seconds of Summer, Chloe x Halle, CNCO, and Little Mix.
BTS is also up for Best Virtual Live competing against J Balvin, Katy Perry, Little Mix, Maluma, and Post Malone.
BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez’s “Ice Cream” scores a nod for Best Collaboration going up against Cardi B’s “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby’s “Rockstar” featuring Roddy Ricch, Justin Bieber’s “Intentions” featuring Quavo, Karol G’s “Tusa” featuring Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s “Rain on Me,” and Sam Smith and Demi Lovato’s “I’m Ready.”
And lastly, the best Korean Act nominees are: ASTRO, KARD, VICTON, EVERGLOW, and Stray Kids. Voting is open until November 2 on their official site.
