UFC fighter Brian Ortega had slapped Jay Park when he was accompanying fighter Jung Chan Sung (“Korean Zombie”) during ‘UFC 248.’ ESPN reporter Ariel Helwani reported the news first to his twitter account, check out his tweets below:

The altercation was broken up by security police. And it all stems from something that Jay Park translated for Jung Chan Sung (also known as Korean Zombie), on a show called “Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show.”

Jay Park translated,

“So he said, it doesn’t matter, [Max] Holloway, [Alex] Volkanovski, or [Brian] Ortega, but Ortega already ducked him one time. So he doesn’t need to fight a fighter that’s ducking him already.”

After that, Brian Ortega took to Instagram to warn that he will slap Jay Park if he ever saw him and he actually went through with it.

On the same day the incident happened Jung Chan Sung took to his Instagram to express his anger at Brian Ortega, read his post:

Last night, you sat 10 meters away from me and Jay Park. For two hours nothing happened, so I thought everything was fine. But you fucking attacked Jay Park while I went to the bathroom. Jay Park is not a professional fighter but a musician. You slapped a civilian who merely helped translate. Even worse, you were sitting there waiting until I would be absent and attacked Jay Park. It was not a fight like real men would do. What you have done is same as a grown up to beat a child. You should have attacked me. If so, I would have not been upset. You are such a coward for slapping a musician not a fighter. If you fucking planned this to fight me and to use my name because people don’t remember your name anymore, then I congratulate you, it worked. I will fight you and I will knock you out and your fucking face will be bloody. Now, your fucking face stays in my mind and I will fuck you up in the cage. I hope you won’t run away from me again.

Later, Jay Park held a Q&A session on Twitter, when asked if he’d sue, he replied savagely with,

On March 9, a source from Jay Park and Jung Chan Sung’s agency AOMG told news outlets that it was true that Ortega picked a fight, but the security quickly intervened. They also assured fans that Jay Park is okay and has no health issues.

What do you think of this situation?

My Personal Thoughts

Men do stupid shit but guys this is next level petty and stupid. Jay Park only translated what his fighter wanted to say, I can’t believe that excuse of a fucking fighter actually slapped Jay Park.

Regardless of the circumstances, a fighter should never slap a civilian, how dare you? like a kid waiting for the fighter to go to the bathroom to take it out on the rapper… so fucking stupid and petty that I can’t believe this guy is 29 fucking years old… he is out here doing shit a 14 years old would do.

A trained fighter could literally disable a normal person with their hits. I am glad Jay Park is fine and he took it like a man but this is inexcusable. I wanted Jay Park to sue him so badly.

One of the stupidest stories I ever had to cover on this site.
