The group Loossemble (Hyunjin, Yeojin, Vivi, Gowon, and Hyeju) has successfully defended their name.

According to multiple legal sources, Loossemble’s agency, City D&M, recently won a lawsuit filed by Blockberry Creative, which sought to ban their performances and issued an injunction.

Previously, Blockberry Creative filed a civil lawsuit against City D&M, stating that they should not engage in entertainment activities using phrases such as ‘LOONA,’ ‘LOONA ASSEMBLE,’ and ‘LOOSSEMBLE’ that are identical or similar to their own.

If the claims made by Blockberry Creative were accepted, Loossemble would not be able to use their newly created name. This would have had a significant impact as they had just released their debut album and embarked on the “Loossemble the U.S Debut Ceremony” tour.

However, with the recent court ruling, Loossemble can continue to use their new name. Additionally, this ruling also signals a positive outlook for their future activities in South Korea following their U.S tour.

Of particular note is the court’s recognition of the added value and reputation associated with the names ‘LOONA’ and ‘LOONA THE WORLD,’ as well as their ability to attract customers. The court determined that these should be attributed to the members after the termination of their exclusive contract with Blockberry Creative. This means that not only Loossemble but also members who have left Blockberry Creative such as Chuu, Artemis (Heejin, Hasul, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry), and Eve, will have a broader range of opportunities for their future activities.

Meanwhile, Loossemble released their debut album “Loossemble” on the 15th and is currently in the midst of their “Loossemble the U.S Debut Ceremony” tour.
