BLACKPINK‘s Rosé is revealed to be in discussions for an exclusive contract with YG Entertainment’s subsidiary agency, THE BLACK LABEL.

On June 17, A representative from THE BLACK LABEL briefly stated that they are “in discussions” regarding the exclusive contract with Rosé.

THE BLACK LABEL is an entertainment agency established by Teddy, a former member of the group 1TYM, in 2016. Currently, it houses artists such as BIGBANG’s Taeyang, singer Jeon Somi, ZION.T, and actors Ella Gross, Park Bo Gum, and Lee Jong Won.

In particular, Teddy has taken on the role of main producer for BLACKPINK since their debut single, “Square One,” up until their second full-length album, “Born Pink,” released in 2022. Some of BLACKPINK’s songs that Teddy has participated in include “Whistle,” “Boombayah,” “Stay,” “As If It’s Your Last,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “Forever Young,” “Kill This Love,” “How You Like That,” “Pink Venom,” and “Shut Down.”

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK, including Rosé, signed an exclusive contract with YG Entertainment for group activities in December of last year. However, the members have embarked on individual paths while continuing to pursue activities together.

Jennie established her own label in December of last year, and Lisa also established her own label, “Lalisa,” in February. Jisoo established her own label, “Blisoo,” under the guidance of her older brother, and made a fresh start in a new direction.
