BLACKPINK’s Jennie Caught Smoking Vape Indoors, Agency Issues Apology
A recent viral clip of BLACKPINK’s Jennie vaping has caught the attention of netizens all around the world!
Recently, Jennie published a video to her YouTube channel. In the video, eagle-eyed fans noticed she was smoking an e-cigarette in the waiting room before the rehearsal of an Italian fashion show and was blowing smoke towards the staff.
After the clip went viral, it was edited out of the video but the issue grew bigger. Some defended Jennie saying she’s an adult and she’s allowed to smoke if she wishes, others said it was disrespectful and also illegal to smoke indoors and blow smoke in the staff’s face.
As the issue grew bigger, calls were made for the idol to speak up and clarify as some fans began to claim it was not vape but a diffuser, eventually, Jennie’s agency OA Entertainment issued an apology and admitted to the fact that Jennie was smoking indoors.
They wrote,
Hello. This is OA Entertainment.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable with Jennie’s actions in the content released on the 2nd. Jennie acknowledges & deeply regrets her mistake of vaping indoors and causing inconvenience to the staff.
Jennie has personally apologized to all the staff on-site who may have been affected. We apologize to her fans who have been disappointed through this incident. We hope to prevent this from reoccurring in the future.
