BLACKPINK Announces Mexico And Australia Concert Dates Of Their Ongoing World Tour ‘BORN PINK’
BLACKPINK is on their world tour and have confirmed additional concert dates in Mexico and Australia.
On February 1st, YG Entertainment posted a regional poster for ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]’ in Mexico and Australia on BLACKPINK’s official SNS. According to this, BLACKPINK will hold a total of five concerts, in Mexico City on April 26, Melbourne on June 10 and 11, and Sydney on June 16 and 17.
The Mexico City concert will be held at FORO SOL, where famous pop stars such as Coldplay, One Direction, and Justin Bieber have performed. BLACKPINK is the first K-pop girl group to enter a large-scale stadium that can accommodate more than 50,000 people.
BLACKPINK will then move to Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, where member Rosé spent her childhood. It is twice as large as the first world tour and makes us realize the overwhelming status of BLACKPINK, which stands tall as a global artist.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is conducting the largest world tour of a K-pop girl group, attracting about 1.5 million people. After successfully completing 14 North American performances in 7 cities and 10 European tours in 7 cities last year, they will meet more fans through their 22 Asian tours in 12 cities this year. They will also perform as headliners at the ‘Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival’ in the US in April and the ‘Hyde Park British Summertime Festival’ in the UK in July.
