BLACKPINK may perform at a state banquet hosted by U.S. President Biden for South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol.

On March 28, an official from YG Entertainment, the agency, said in a telephone interview with CBS No Cut News, “We are considering (performance at dinner) after receiving a proposal.”

Earlier in the day, Chosun Ilbo reported that planning for a joint cultural event to be attended by famous singers from both countries during President Yoon Suk Yeol’s state visit to the U.S. has been proceeding and that Korea’s BLACKPINK and Lady Gaga are likely to perform.

BLACKPINK is in the middle of their largest world tour, “Born Pink.” BLACKPINK, who successfully finished 14 performances in seven North American cities and 10 performances in seven European cities last year, is currently meeting many fans in Asia.

Meanwhile, they will appear at the U.S. outdoor music festival “Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival” in April and as a headliner (signboard performer) at the UK’s “Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival” in July.
