On January 18, Givenchy announced, “Taeyang has become the first Korean male to become an ambassador for the House of Givenchy brand.“
The creative director of Givenchy, Matthew M. Williams welcomed Taeyang, saying, “Taeyang is an inspirational artist in many ways. He is a sincere and fearless artist who tries his own new style, and it perfectly matches the aesthetic beauty of Givenchy.”
Taeyang said, “I’m very happy to be able to start a new chapter with Givenchy. It is more special because it is one of the brands that has inspired me a lot from a long time ago. I want to make great things together in the future.“
Recently, Taeyang made a comeback on January 13 by releasing the digital single “VIBE” featuring BTS’s Jimin. Shortly after its release, “VIBE” topped the iTunes charts in 60 countries and the music video surpassed 20 million views in a day.
