BIGBANG T.O.P To Reportedly Go On A Space Trip With A Japanese Billionaire In 2023

BIGBANG’s T.O.P is reportedly selected as one of the eight artists to join SpaceX’s lunar exploration project, ‘#dearMoon’, planned by Japanese Billionaire Yusaku Maezawa.

T.O.P may become the first Korean celebrity to go to outer space. According to the press, T.O.P has decided to join the space trip, ‘#dearMoon’ by the Japanese Billionaire Yusaku Maezawa. He is one of the 8 participants and the project is targeted for 2023.

Yusaku Maezawa, who planned the project is known as ‘Japan’s Elon Musk’ for his unique actions. He is the founder of the e-commerce company, Start Today, the founder of Japan’s largest online shopping mall, Jojotown and is also known as an art collector.

Previously, he posted photos with T.O.P and Lee Byung Hun on his SNS, revealing their friendship, but it is not confirmed yet whether Lee Byung Hun will join the space trip. T.O.P and Maezawa have known to be friends for a long time.

Yusaku Maezawa said, for the ‘#dearMoon’ project, he would like to invite 8 artists from different backgrounds and he would bear all the expenses. The qualification conditions include the potential to grow significantly through travel and help humanity and society and help their passengers. The trip lasts for six days.

T.O.P was active as a singer with BIGBANG and an actor until recently, he left YG Entertainment in February. Now, he works as a wine entrepreneur.
