Big Hit Music has released an official statement about BTS’s Jungkook‘s upcoming song and performance at the 2022 FIFA opening ceremony.
Previously, it was confirmed that Jungkook would be releasing an upcoming song for the FIFA 2022 in Qatar, he will lend his voice to the soundtrack of the upcoming World Cup and will perform at the opening ceremony too.
On November 19, Big Hit Music followed with a new statement and said,

At the opening ceremony of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, Jung Kook will be performing the official soundtrack “Dreamers”.

I honestly think this is super ironic. They (more specifically RM but he represented BTS) have spoken as visitors in the UN about human rights and equality and now Jungkook is performing in Qatar of all places. I’m very disappointed in this decision because I truly believed in their values but this is really all about money, nothing else.
