Beloved Korean YouTuber Coco Choi Passes Away After Health Deteriorates Due To Cancer
It was reported with great sadness that YouTuber Coco Choi [real name Cha Cho Hee] passed away suddenly due to a sudden deterioration in her health while battling bone cancer.
On the 24th of November, a video titled “Coco Unnie, I will always remember you” was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Coco Choi’.
The video contains Coco Choi’s memorial post. The author wrote, “Our lovely Coco Unnie left for heaven on November 18, 2023, at 2:26 pm. With a heavy heart, I bring this sad news to the subscribers whom Coco Unnie loved.”
They stated, “Coco Unnie was diagnosed with bone cancer in the spring of 2023 and was recovering after her last chemotherapy treatment in November. However, her health suddenly worsened one day before filming for YouTube, and she left for heaven.”
They continued, “Please remember Coco Unnie, who loved her subscribers, Coco Unnie, who wanted to show more to her subscribers, Coco Unnie, who never stopped learning, Coco Unnie, who never hesitated to experience new things,” along with Coco Choi’s YouTube videos from her lifetime.
Lastly, they remembered Coco Unnie, saying, “Beloved Coco Unnie, please rest peacefully without pain there. We will always remember you.”
Netizens who saw this news expressed their grief, saying, “I doubted my eyes, it’s unbelievable news,” “I hope she doesn’t suffer anymore in that place,” “I will always remember her smiling and living fiercely.”
Meanwhile, Coco Choi was a luxury shopping YouTuber who opened and wore luxury brands, as well as a travel YouTuber. She gained popularity with 80,000 subscribers.
In September, Coco Choi announced through the YouTube channel community, “I think it’s time for me to take a break. I will return as an upgraded Coco Choi after recovering my condition,” and announced the suspension of her YouTube activities, saying, “I hope the subscribers will wait until then.”
