B.A.P fans woke up to some expected but heartbreaking news, the leader of their beloved group has announced his departure from his group and his agency, TS Entertainment.

On August 23, the agency released an official statement explaining that Bang Yong Guk had decided not to renew his contract, they said,

“Hello, this is TS Entertainment.

Bang Yong Guk of B.A.P has been with TS Entertainment since August 12, 2011, recently his exclusive contract has expired on August 19, 2018.

After discussing with Bang Yong Guk and the members of his group, he decided not to renew his contract with us; we will be respecting his decision.

We would like to express our gratitude to Bang Yong Guk who has been together with us until now, we wish him the best in his future projects.

In addition, B.A.P will continue to be a five-member group (Himchan, Daehyun, Youngjae, Jongup, and Zelo). Their scheduled activities will continue as planned, we will continue to give B.A.P future activities our support.

We hope you continue to give B.A.P your love and support in the future. Thank you.”

Fans have suspected that B.A.P members might not be renewing their contracts because the members themselves talked about it during their last contract as 6 members “B.A.P 2018 Live Limited in Seoul” back on July 22.

The members cried when speaking about their contracts. However, the announcement of Bang Yong Guk’s departure still shook and hurt them nonetheless.
