According to law firm Yulchon, former BAE173 member Nam Dohyon has won his legal dispute with his agency.
On the 22nd of June, the court cited all of Nam Dohyon’s requests for an injunction to suspend the exclusive contract with his agency, PocketDol Studio, which he filed in March.
Nam Dohyon expressed through Yulchon, his legal representative, “With the court’s decision, I am now able to pursue new activities. I feel regretful and sorry that I couldn’t share the news despite the curiosity and concerns from my fans during my hiatus.”
He added, “I sincerely thank the fans who have given me overwhelming love. I am truly grateful to the members I have been together with until now, and I will always support them in the future. Although my specific plans for new music activities have not been decided yet, I promise to show a more developed version of myself.”
Nam Dohyon gained recognition through the MBC TV idol survival show ‘Under Nineteen’ in 2018. The following year, he appeared on Mnet’s boy group survival show ‘Produce X 101’ and was selected as a member of the project group ‘X1.’ However, due to the aftermath of vote manipulation by the ‘Produce’ series production team, the group was unable to properly promote and disbanded.
Afterwards, Nam Dohyon debuted as a member of BAE173 in November 2020 but announced a temporary hiatus in October of last year.
