Attrakt, the agency behind the group Fifty Fifty, is creating a new girl group with the goal of debuting next year.
Attrakt announced on the 4th of September that they will begin their debut project to foster the new girl group. All members of the new girl group to be formed by Attrakt will be selected through an audition program, and the entire process will be open to the public.
Attrakt plans to build a global K-pop fandom even before the debut by showcasing the talents and charms of the applicants through an audition program that captures the process of the new girl group’s birth. It has been reported that Attrakt is planning a distinctive audition with unique concepts and directing for this project.
The specific schedule for the audition has not been announced yet. However, Attrakt has emphasized that “public pick” will be the key point of this audition program. The applicant chosen directly by the public will make their debut. This is expected to have a significant impact on the judging criteria as well.
Attrakt CEO Jeon Hong-joon stated, “We have the destiny to continue creating new content for the company’s future, for the investors who believe in the company, the hardworking staff on the field, and for ourselves.” He also expressed his thoughts, saying, “We will continue to move forward with various projects, including the new girl group.”
Attrakt had recently received investment from Singapore Evergreen Group Holdings. With the announcement of the audition program for selecting the new girl group, Attrakt, which has promised another leap forward, is drawing attention to what outcomes they will achieve.
