EXO had finally came back with their fifth studio album “Don’t Mess Up My Tempo” on November 2nd at 6 p.m. KST.
Fans had been waiting for EXO’s comeback for more than a year and a half, the wait was worth it since EXO-Ls enjoyed the album so much.
To show their appreciation, EXO-Ls worked hard and tried their best to boost the MV “Tempo” views on YouTube; they aimed to break their previous records, which they did.
On November 3rd at 6 p.m. KST, “Tempo” surpassed the 17 million views mark in 24 hours, this is EXO’s personal best record to date in terms of YouTube views. The MV has also surpassed the 2 million likes marks in 24 hours.
It had actually doubled since their last comeback with “Ko Ko bop,” back then that MV reached 8.8 million views in the first 24 hours.
“Don’t Mess Up My Tempo” is also seeing worldwide success, it has topped many iTunes Top Albums charts around the world upon its release, it topped it in 46 countries and regions including: Canada, Sweden, Greece, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, India, Singapore, Russia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Finland, Brunei, Cambodia, Latvia, Norway, Bahrain, Oman, Japan, Costa Rica, Thailand, Laos, Macau, Vietnam, Turkey, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Bolivia, Trinidad and Tobago, Guatemala, Qatar, Romania, Mauritius, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Fiji, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan.
“Tempo” has also topped real-time charts upon its release in South Korea and had also ranked number one on popular Chinese music site Xiami Music’s overall chart.
“Tempo” has also surpassed the 530,167 Unique Listeners on MelOn despite the stiff competition on Korean charts.
