an iok company official stated, “alice members do-a and yeonje are temporarily suspending their activities due to recent health concerns and conditions, and are taking a break and focusing on recovery. as a result, alice’s comeback will feature a 5-member lineup consisting of sohee, karin, yookyung, chaejeong, and ej, rather than the usual 7 members.”
in addition, alice members stated, “we are very disappointed that do-a and yeonje, who have always been together, cannot participate in this activity with us. we hope that the two members will recover quickly and return to the stage with us.”
on the 5th at midnight, alice released a schedule poster announcing their comeback on the 19th.
the schedule includes various content related to the upcoming single album, raising fans’ expectations. the single album ‘show down’ will be released on the 19th at 6 pm, along with its music video. on the same day, a media showcase and fan showcase will be held.
after a long hiatus of 2 years and 3 months since the release of their mini-album ‘jackpot’ on february 26, 2020, alice transferred to iok company in december 2021. then, on april 11, 2022, they changed their group name from the previous ‘elris’ to ‘alice’ in english, after 4 years and 9 months since their debut.
