AfreecaTV BJ Ahyeong has been found dead in Cambodia.
According to local Cambodian media and the police on the 10th, a Korean woman, Ms. A, was found dead in a pond near Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on the 6th of this month.
Later, it was revealed that the woman in question is Ahyeong, a popular AfreecaTV BJ with over 250,000 followers on Instagram.
It was reported that Ahyeong was found wrapped in a mat. After confirming her identity, it was revealed that she was a BJ who had been actively engaged on a Korean internet broadcasting platform.
The police have arrested a Chinese couple in their 30s who run a hospital in Cambodia on suspicion of abandoning Ahyeong’s body. The couple stated that on the 4th, Ms. A had a seizure and died while receiving treatment at the hospital.
The Korean police have requested cooperation from the local authorities in the investigation. It has been reported that an autopsy will be conducted, and interviews with acquaintances and hospital staff are currently underway.
Previously, Ahyeong announced the suspension of her BJ activities in March.
