aespa Becomes The 1st Girl Group In History To Win The Daesang At The 2024 The Fact Music Awards
The group aespa emerged as the grand prize winner at the 2024 The Fact Music Awards.
On September 8, at Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan, the second day of the award ceremony was hosted by broadcaster Jun Hyun Moo and Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun. aespa claimed the Daesang (Grand Prize), alongside two additional awards, showcasing their dominance.

With this, aespa became the 1st ever kpop girl group to take home the grand prize in the Fact Music Awards history. Further proving their immense popularity and dominance.
After receiving the awards, aespa shared their emotions: “We worked hard this year, and it’s amazing that our efforts have been recognized like this. We want to thank our fans. Some members faced health challenges, but this feels like a rewarding moment, and we are truly grateful to our fans.”
In an exciting move, they hinted at their next song, revealing the title “Whiplash” as a sneak peek for their fans, promising it would be a fun and fresh track.

Meanwhile, NewJeans also stole the spotlight by winning four awards, including Artist of the Year, Performer of the Year, Worldwide Icon, and Popularity Award. Throughout their acceptance speeches, NewJeans repeatedly expressed gratitude and support for their former ADOR CEO, Min Hee Jin, currently at odds with HYBE after stepping down from her position.
