Aespa made their return on July 8 with their second mini album “Girls.” The album has went on to make history.
According Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart), As of July 14, aespa’s “Girls” sold 1,426,487 copies in the first week. This makes aespa the girl group with the highest first-week sales in history. The record was previously held by BLACKPINK‘s “THE ALBUM,” which sold 680,000 copies back in 2020. Added to that, aespa is only the second girl group to sell over 1 million copies joining BLACKPINK.
