“The Heirs” is by far one of the most memorable kdramas of all time. Many kdrama fans first drama was “The Heirs.” And believe it or not, its been almost five years since “The Heirs” aired its first episode.
All the actors involved in the production came a long way since “The Heirs.” With most of them currently leading their own productions.
Today, we’ll catch up with “The Heirs” cast and talk specifically about the love lives of the actors involved in this memorable production.
Lee Min Ho
Lee Min Ho is currently serving the military; he started on May 12, 2017 at Suseo Social Welfare Centre in Gangnam District Office as a public service officer.
He publicly dated Park Min Young for a while after developing feelings for her while filming “City Hunter” but they ended their relationship before he began filming for “The Heirs.”
He was also involved in a more serious relationship with an idol-actress named Suzy. Their relationship took fans by storm after it was confirmed.
While he was serving the military back in November 2017, he announced his breakup from Suzy; they had dated for two-and-a-half-years and confirmed they were dating back in March 2015.
The couple confirmed their breakup back in November 2017 to the shock of many fans.
Suzy has since then moved on and dated another popular actor shortly after her breakup with Lee Min Ho was announced; however, she broke up with Lee Dong Wook not too long ago.
Park Shin Hye
Park Shin Hye popularity only grew bigger after the success of “The Heirs” and it continued to do so.
She was thought to be dating CNBLUE close friend Jung Yong Hwa, many fans shipped them together since they worked on two productions. However, the two remained close friends.
She has found love; she is currently dating actor Choi Tae Joon. They met through college since both studied theater arts at Chung Ang University.
They were wrapped up in dating rumors back in 2017 but they had denied them back then. They were spotted together out and about; their agencies confirmed they had been dating since 2017, they had progressed from friends to lovers.
Choi Tae Joon is one year older, he is a rising actor who is stealing spotlight with his acting chops in various projects.
Kim Woo Bin
Kim Woo Bin has sadly been on hiatus since mid-2017 after he was diagnosed with Nasopharyngeal cancer, he is still taking time off to recover after completing rounds of chemotherapy, he is one lucky man because he has a girlfriend who loves him by his side.
He has been dating actress Shin Min Ah since 2015, almost two years after “The Heirs” aired its first episode, they met on the set of a CF filming and fell in love.
They have been going strong for more than 3 years now, making Kim Woo Bin the only actor in “The Heirs” whose currently publicly dating and still going strong with his girlfriend.
Kang Min Hyuk
Kang Min Hyuk has come a long way from his supporting role in “The Heirs,” he led his first drama back in 2017 opposite Ha Ji Won “Hospital Ship,” the drama was a success and people thought they suited each other well.
Kang Min Hyuk has never publicly admitted he dated anyone yet; he was involved in dating rumors with fellow FNC Entertainment actress Jung Hye Sung, but FNC Entertainment quickly shut down the rumors.
They were rumored to be the first FNC Entertainment couple to be born. Kang Min Hyuk and Jung Hye Sung were rumored to be dating with the “intentions of marriage.”
Kang Min Hyuk had previously touched on the subject of dating and marriage, he revealed to his father that he has no intention of dating or getting married, he added,
“It feels like in the future I will either not marry at all or do so late.”
He was also shipped with Krystal and fans wished they would become a couple but he explained that he adores her like a little sister.
Choi Jin Hyuk
Choi Jin Hyuk is another actor that came a far way since his supporting role as the tough brother in “The Heirs.” He hasn’t been involved in any dating rumors since 2013, he keeps his private life low.
However, he used to date actress Son Eun Seo and he had confirmed it back in 2012. They had first met in the SBS drama “My Daughter the Flower.”
However and before he even began filming for “The Heirs” he confirmed that they have broken up, it was confirmed back in early 2013.
Kang Ha Neul
Kang Ha Neul has also come a long way since “The Heirs” days; he is now one of the most respected Korean actors and a familiar face when talking about the hallyu wave.
He was involved in various dating rumors since then but never once confirmed he was dating anyone.
He was involved in dating rumors with actress Kim So Eun and rapper Cheetah.
He is known to be close to Kim So Eun as they have both filmed a movie before together but he had explained that he isn’t in such a relationship with her.
He was also strangely involved in dating rumors with a rapper named Cheetah, he had never even met her. He had explained that one of his good friend nickname was Cheetah and that he had posted something to his instagram with the nickname which led to those rumors.
He was also once involved in dating rumors with IU back in September 2017, the two had shared the screen in the popular drama “Scarlet Heart Ryeo.”
He denied the rumors and explained that he is good friends with IU, they had met up at a café before his military enlistment, rumors flared up after people assumed the two were dating because they met just a day before he enlisted in the military.
He is currently serving his country and will be discharged in 2019.
Krystal
Krystal has been involved in one of the most buzzworthy dating news of Kpop stars in recent memory.
She and fellow labelmate EXO’s Kai used to date. The couple officially announced the relationship on April 1, 2016.
They had first met more than 10 years ago at age 13, they quickly became friends and spent their teens together.
Their relationship had lasted over a year, they confirmed their breakup back on June 1, 2017.
She hasn’t been involved in any dating rumors recently but was shipped with Gong Myung for their chemistry; the two are around the same age and shared the screen in 2017’s “Bride Of Habaek.”
Kim Ji Won
Kim Ji Won has become one of the most popular Korean actresses nowadays. She rose to fame with her performance in “Descendants of the Sun.” She went on to lead her first drama in 2017’s “Fight My Way” opposite Park Seo Joon.
Before being involved in dating rumors with Park Seo Joon, she was involved in dating rumors with actor Yoo Yoon Seok, the two shared the screen in a movie and became good friends.
The two were first rumored to be dating back in 2012 after filming Horror Stories together.
Park Seo Joon has denied dating Kim Ji Won and explained that they were only friends with each other.
Park Hyung Sik
Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young go hand in hand whenever anyone discusses the subject of Park Hyung Sik’s rumored girlfriend.
Park Hyung Sik is at the height of his popularity right now. After “The Heirs” he went on to be part of many great projects proving just how talented he was.
In 2017, he took part in JTBC’s “Strong Woman Do Bong Soon” which was a huge success; it ended up becoming one of the most known kdramas of 2017.
Park Hyung Sik received lots of love for his portrayal of the main lead, he was also shipped with Park Bo Young. Their chemistry while filming was undeniable, they were also close off the screen.
Many fans wanted them to date, once Park Hyung Sik said in an interview,
“I really loved Park Bo Young. She’s that lovable. She really was Do Bong Soon and, because Park Bo Young truly was Do Bong Soon, I loved her. I wanted to love her more but [the drama] unfortunately ended.”
However, there is no confirmation of them dating. They continue to support each other’s projects as close friends.
