This survey included input from 200 industry experts, such as employees at entertainment and broadcasting companies, content creators, and entertainment journalists.

Here’s a breakdown of their picks for the top Kdramas of 2024:

Dramas of the Year: “Lovely Runner” and “Queen of Tears” – Joint Winners The survey selected tvN‘s “Lovely Runner,” starring Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, and “Queen of Tears,” starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, as joint winners, each receiving 60 votes. Both dramas captivated audiences in South Korea and internationally, making significant waves in viewership and discussions online.

“Good Partner”: Realistic Portrayal of Divorce Law Another standout was SBS’s “Good Partner,” praised for its portrayal of a star divorce lawyer navigating her personal and professional life. It received 19 votes.

Notable Mentions: “Connection” and “The Whirlwind.” Netflix’s political thriller “The Whirlwind,” featuring Seol Kyung Gu and Kim Hee Ae, and SBS’s crime series “Connection” each received high praise. “Connection” gained attention for its intense storyline centered on drug trafficking, while “The Whirlwind” showcased a battle for political power, bringing social issues to the forefront.
