On October 17, KBS 2TV’s new drama “The Pure Boxer” said that Lee Sang Yeob and Kim So Hye have confirmed their appearance.
“The Pure Boxer” is a sports growth drama based on the novel “Pure Boxer Lee Kwon Sook,” the second winning work of Kyobo Bookstore’s story contest, and is an escape from manipulation of game results by a cold-blooded agent who makes a game that must be lost to earn the life of genius boxer Lee Kwon Sook and his players.
In “The Pure Boxer,” Lee Sang Yeob plays the role of Kim Tae Young, an S&P sports agent who recruits talented players and makes them to retire after making them work until their bone marrow is gone in a short period of time. Kim Tae Young is a scumbag agent who doesn’t blink an eye when it comes to his player’s soul and money and approaches genius boxer Lee Kwon Sook, who disappeared three years ago for special pitcher Kim Hee Won. Lee Sang Yeob will showcase dramatic tension by confronting Kim So Hye.
Kim So Hye takes the role of Lee Kwon Sook, a genius boxer who emerged as a boxing star at the age of 17. Lee Kwon Sook, who suddenly disappeared ahead of the Grand Slam and lived a new life, meets malicious agent Kim Tae Young and faces a changing point in her life.
“The Pure Boxer” is expected to portray the beautiful growth of young people who are agonizing between their talents and what they really want to do and the lives of people in the sports industry in an interesting and honest way.
Soon, “The Pure Boxer” will begin filming for the first time and will premiere in the first half of 2023.
