Ku Hye Sun surprised fans in her first variety show appearance since the divorce announcement!
Ku Hye Sun has made her first variety show appearance since the divorce announcement on “The Manager” and she had a lot of interesting things to share about her legendary role in the hit drama “Boys Over Flowers,” and some of what she said shocked fans.
At the beginning, she introduced people to the head of her agency, Kim Sung Hoon, who worked with her for many years in her early career days. During the show, Kim Sung Hoon talked about the grueling process of casting Ku Hye Sun for the highly sought out after role of Geum Jan Di.
Fans were shocked to learn that Ku Hye Sun was dating while filming for the legendary drama. During the show, she revealed that she broke up with her then-boyfriend because of “Boys Over Flowers.”
She explained the reason behind it. During a portion of “Boys Over Flowers,” the characters go on a trip overseas, Ku Hye Sun revealed that she broke up with her then-boyfriend because she didn’t have cell phone reception in New Caledonia. She said her boyfriend couldn’t get in touch with her and didn’t believe her when he said that she didn’t have reception in the area, she said,
“He thought it was an excuse. So we broke up.”
