MBC is preparing for the popular Chuseok special “Idol Star Athletics Championships” and rumors of EXO, TWICE, and Winner joining the line up spread online.
After the rumors spread, MBC clarified the reports and stated,
“Nothing has been confirmed yet, we’re still in the process of casting.”
If the three popular groups agree to appear, it’ll be the first time in six years since 3 groups from the big 3 companies guested together on the show at the same time.
The last time this happened was back in 2011, when SHINee, Miss A and BIGBANG’s Seungri all participated in “Idol Star Athletics Championships”.
Bowling has been added to the championship, and the filming will take place on September 4 and 11.
