Dara had a lot to say about how difficult everything was following 2NE1’s disbandment!

On February 4 of MBC’s “Video Star,” Dara was among the guests, this episode featured idols who opened up about their worries, Dara was among the idols who opened about how terrible she felt after her group disbanded.

“After we disbanded, I stood alone and went through a hard time. It was a difficult time for me.

I only now realize how foolish I had been, but when we promoted, I thought I wasn’t necessary in my team. All the other members had such great vocals so I thought if I sang more, I’d harm the group, so I couldn’t enjoy it.

After the disbandment, I didn’t know what to do; I was very pessimistic for 2-3 years and lost a lot of my confidence.”

Dara went on to talk about how her dark times affected her social life,

“Contact between me and lots of other people was cut off, I lived in a dark place for 2 years. At one point, it became a good thing. I realized that the few friends who remained by my side were really my friends,” she chocked before she continued, “because of that, I feel happy lately.”

Dara was comforted by the other idols and celebrities at the room, she wiped away her tears and talked about how it’s a shame she realized it late,

“CL was the one who always lifted up our spirits and she wasn’t there anymore, so I started to play the parts of my members.

When I do fan meetings now or concerts, I feel like I can enjoy it. It’s a shame I wasn’t able to realize it sooner, but you can’t turn back time.”
