The family of the beloved comedian Lee Ji Soo who passed away suddenly, are awaiting autopsy results to determine the exact cause.
On the 12th of July, Lee Ji Soo’s sister, Ms. Lee, revealed in a phone call with OSEN, “My sister was recently hospitalized due to a high fever, and after being discharged, we lost contact. So, I reported it to the police and went to her house, where I discovered that she had passed away.”
Ms. Lee explained, “Since my sister was living alone, she was separated from the family. Even though she was suffering from a high fever, she did not mention it to anyone. Eventually, it became too difficult for her, and she contacted our mother, went to the hospital, and was admitted. However, she was discharged after about a week on the 4th. At that time, she received a diagnosis of acute nephritis and other conditions, and although her condition was not good, she rushed to leave the hospital.”
She continued, “After the 5th, we couldn’t reach her, so the police and I went to her house, and she was already in a state of death. We conducted an autopsy to determine the exact cause, and after completing it today, we held the mortuary service. The results will be available in about a month. No signs of trauma were found separately.”
Recently, she had joined a new comedy program being prepared by KBS, and it was reported that she was fully dedicated to brainstorming ideas and practicing with her colleagues, making her sudden passing even more regrettable.
The sudden news has sparked public mourning and condolences. On social media platforms where the deceased used to share updates about her life, comments such as “May she rest in peace,” “She was such a funny person, it’s heartbreaking,” “She always made people feel good,” and “May you find peace there” were posted as a final farewell.
The late Lee Ji Soo was a rookie female comedian from the Yoon Hyung-bin Theater and made her debut on tvN’s “Comedy Big League” in 2021, actively participating in various segments.

Sometimes, life seems unfair, as we think of the pain the parent’s must feel.but, there is a higher power somewhere, I believe. He has many names, and no respect of person’s. “AND HE KNOW’S IT ALL”!.
