Below is a comprehensive list of all the kpop idols who tested positive for COVID-19 in 2022.

The list will also update once an idol recovers from the virus or another kpop idol or singer is diagnosed with it.

VICTON’s Sejun

On March 1, VICTON’s agency, IST Entertainment released a statement to say the idol tested positive for COVID-19 in Thailand. He is currently resting while isolating in Thailand.

On February 28, IST Entertainment released a statement to reveal THE BOYZ’s Jacob has tested positive for COVID-19. According to the disease control authorities, Jacob will receive treatment and remain in isolation until midnight on March 5. He currently has no particular symptoms.

On February 18, JYP released a statement to announce that Bae tested positive on the morning of February 18 (Friday). She began showing symptoms of a sore throat and thus, all the members used a self-test kit when Bae’s kit showed a positive result, so all members received PCR tests at a hospital on the morning of February 17 (Thursday). Bae tested positive.

On February 17, Big Hit Music has stated that Yeonjun had felt unwell on February 12, so he went to the hospital and took a PCR test but it came back negative, he still quarantined away from the members out of precaution. He later experienced mild symptoms such as a sore throat and mild fever, he took a PCR test again on February 16 and it came back positive this morning.

On February 23, Big Hit music revealed that Yeonjun has recovered and been released from quaratine.

On February 17, Cube Entertainment stated that Miyeon has taken the self-test kit today and it came back positive, she later took the PCR test and is now waiting for the results. On February 12, JYP Entertainment announced via an official statement that Lia tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, the members and staff also underwent PCR testing and were awaiting results. On February 14, JYP came back with another statement to announce that Yeji has also tested positive for the virus.

On February 16, JYP released another statement to announce that Chaeryeong has also tested positive.

On February 21 KST, JYP Entertainment took to ITZY’s official fan cafe to announce Yeji has fully recovered from the virus and has been released from quarantine.

On February 12, Starship Entertainment issued a statement to deliver the shocking news. Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung, and Seongmin tested positive for COVID-19. This happened after member Taeyoung showed symptoms on February 11. When the self-test kit came out positive, the members all immediately got tested and the results came out positive.

On February 16, Starship Entertainment issued another statement to confirm that Wonjin test result came out positive too.

On February 7, one of his staff members who accompanied him on his scheduled events tested positive, thus, Wonpil took a PCR test and later at night on February 7, his results came out positive. According to JYP, he’s completed the two doses of vaccination and is not showing any symptoms currently. He’s been voluntarily self-quarantining since before his diagnosis and will continue to self-quarantine while following the measures set by the health authorities.

On February 14 KST, JYP Entertainment announced that Wonpil had completed his seven-day quarantine period that day and has recovered.

According to Bluedot Entertainment, members Geonu and Sangwoo tested positive on February 6. They had intially tested negative after two members tested positive but they ended up testing positive through an additional PCR test the next day.

On February 6, his agency, PALMTREE ISLAND, released a statement to say the idol has tested positive for the virus. Kim Junsu heard that one of the actors in his musical with had tested positive for COVID-19 so he decided to take a test. He had already received the booster shot and has canceled his schedule and is taking the necessary measures.

On February 5, BLUEDOT Entertainment announced that JUST B’s Lim Jimin and JM tested positive for the virus. They had received their 3rd dose and on Friday tested for the virus using an at-home test kit on Friday, February 4th and took a PCR test after that and the results came out positive on February 5.

On February 4, C9 Entertainment issued a statement saying that the day before, Bae Jin Young had returned from the Lunar New Year holidays and shown symptoms of coughing, he tested positive the next day. Bae Jin Young has completed two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Kep1er Choi Yu Jin And Kim Da Yeon

On February 4, WAKEONE and Swing Entertainment released a statement to confirm that Seo Young Eun and Kim Chae Hyun have recovered from COVID-19, but Choi Yu Jin and Kim Da Yeon had tested positive while in quarantine.

According to the agency, Kep1er members Choi Yu Jin and Kim Da Yeon tested positive, both members have received two doses of vaccination. Currently, both members aren’t showing any symptoms.

On February 9, Wake One and Swing Entertainment released an official statement regarding Kep1er’s Dayeon and Yujin, the two idols have recovered.

On February 2, his label Swing Entertainment confirmed via a statement that the singer tested positive for the virus. He’s already received two doses of the vaccine. A staff member at his concert in Seongnam received positive results from a self-test kit, thus, he took a test and the results came out positive.

On January 31, Big Hit Music shared a statement to reveal that BTS Jimin has tested positive for the virus. He has been experiencing sudden abdominal pain with a mild sore throat on January 30. He went to the hospital and after an examination, the doctors shared that Jimin was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and was tested positive for COVID-19.

On February 5, Big Hit Music officially announced that Jimin has been discharged from the hospital, he’s recovered from the virus as well.

On January 31, BPM shared that the remaining two members of the group have also been tested positive for COVID-19. Despite showing no special symptoms, SinB and Eunha will be getting treatment for a faster recovery.

On January 28, Big Planet Made released a statement to reveal that the member completed two doses of her COVID-19 vaccine, but one of the staff members was a close contact [of a COVID-19 confirmed case], so she underwent PCR testing, and on January 28, she was confirmed to have the virus.

On January 25, YG stated that while initially, Junhoe tested negative on January 22, he took a test again two days later after getting a mild sore throat. The results came out positive on January 25. On February 3, YG Entertainment stated that WINNER’s Lee Seung Hoon, iKON , and TREASURE members have all recovered from COVID-19.

The news was shared via an official statement by YG Entertainment on January 24. The agency stated that the idol has tested positive for the virus today. He’s taken a PCR test to get the results, his other fellow members Kang Seungyoon, Kim Jinwoo, Song Mino all tested negative. YG says Lee Seunghoon is fully vaccinated and is in good health, he’s asymptomatic.
