Crash Course in Romance” is a new romantic comedy that has caught my attention with its charming lead actors and cute storyline. In this article, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the first two episodes of the drama.

Note: this article is a first-impression review, it doesn’t mean this is the writer’s final thoughts on the drama. This is a spoiler review.

I must say, I had some expectations going in because its Jeon Do yeon and Jung Kyung Ho but I didn’t expect I’d enjoy the premiere episodes this much. They were definitely on the longer side with over 1 hour and 10 minutes but it didn’t feel too long or move at a slow pace.

It has slice-of-life drama vibes to it but its not as slow as you’d expect from a premiere about such a subject.

I was also pleasantly surprised that Choi Chi-Yeol was not this mean-spirited teacher for the most part, which made me enjoy the experience even more. He might be picky but its more or less understandable and he doesn’t cross that boundary of common etiquette when dealing with people around him for the most part, not unless its related to his math which is an entirely different subject.

I think the script and its direction appear to be quite predictable but as long as we’re not really expecting something out of the ordinary, I think it will flow just fine. I hope it maintains that aura of positivity and warmth moving forward. Its 16 episodes which is already a source of concern to me because I don’t see how they can fill it with enough content, but I will maintain a positive outlook on the situation.

Its nice to see Roh Yoon-Seo again so soon, she’s a stunning rising actress who has a bright future ahead of her. I am also happy to see Shin Jae Ha back on screen, I think he was absent because of the military and now he’s back. I hope he gets a breakout role soon that will put him on the map, he’s very talented and underrated.

Jung Kyung Ho pulls off the role of the math teacher beautifully and its fun watching him on screen. He’s very suited for the character he plays in the drama. I like the character too thus far.

Its been nearly two years since we saw Jeon Do yeon, I am glad this project appears to be on the brighter side compared to her last project which was very gloomy, poetic but gloomy.

Suffice to say, I am excited about the coming episodes.

Have you guys seen Crash Course In Romance yet? do you like it or not?
