“Miss Night and Day” Ending Explained- episode 16 recap

The hit drama “Miss Night and Day” has concluded its run earlier today, here is a recap of its 16^th episode and its ending explained!

Mi-Jin’s mother thinks Sun is her long lost sister and hugs her tightly but Mi-Jin says its not Sun, its her. She then changes in front of her mother causing her parents quite the shock.

At Baek Chul-Kyu’s trial, his victim wishes for leniency for him, he’s sentenced to three years in prison for what he’s done.

Mi-Jin makes a bucket list preparing for the worst case scenario, her mother wants her to see a shaman but she tells her it won’t work.

Ga-Yeong even takes her to see a dermatologist and get some work done. She passes by all the places where she and the prosecutor worked on cases together and is sad recalling them.

Ji-Ung visits Mi-Jin’s parents, and says he’s been called to Seoul, and that he’s leaving. The father tries to stall him until Mi-Jin gets there but Mi-Jin avoids seeing him.

Byung-Duk is looking for couple rings to propose and gets scammed again. Ji-Ung interferes and prevents the disaster from happening and even presents him with a gift certificate to help him buy the rings and says its a goodbye present.

And one day, when Mi-Jin was sleeping Sun wakes her up to say she’s leaving, she begins to cry saying she thought she’d feel happier. Sun reminds her she did all those great things on her own and she always had it in her. She says goodbye to her and leaves.

When she wakes up the next day, Mi-Jin does not change. Ji-Ung moves out and allows Byung-Duk to stay in his place temporarily and asks him to check on Mi-Jin every once and a while.

At Na Ok-Hui trial, Mi-Jin shows up and asks the judge for the strictest possible sentence for what she’s done recently and despite the status of limitation passing on how she killed her aunt, she asks the judge to punish her harshly.

Na Ok-Hui says it just happened and is showing no remorse so the judge sentences her to death. She’s livid.

At a dinner with her family and friends, Mi-Jin says she’s restarting and studying to be a civil servant again and she has a purpose now. Ji-Ung watches on from afar before he leaves to Seoul.

Ko Won is doing well and released a new solo song about his experience with Mi-Jin.

Byung-Duk cutely proposes to Ga-Yeong and she accepts.

Ji-Ung is back in Seoul and is being outcasted again for his actions of looking into corruption, his friend talks about a new amazing woman who is good with excel, and then two new women show up and one of them turns out to be Mi-Jin

She now works in the same place as him, he asks if she has a boyfriend and says he has a girlfriend, she misunderstands but then they reunite and he expresses his love for her and they kiss.

The couple takes a nice walk with the cherry blossom and they overhear Sun calling for them, she’s looking out for them from afar.
