ENA’a “Delivery Man” Ending Explained- Episode 12 Recap

The 2023 ENA kdrama “Delivery Man” has come to an end, here is a recap of its finale and its ending explained!

The episode begins with Gyu Jin taunting Young-Min, he threatens to dispose of the mobile in the fire, he begs him not, Gyu Jin says he doesn’t feel the sincerity so Young-Min gets on his knees and begs him. He backs out for a moment before deciding he loves seeing people’s desperate faces losing their loved ones. So he throws away the phone.

As a result, Ji-Hyun dies at the hospital but then comes back to life and blinks. She also disappears from Young Min’s side.

Young Min tries to retrieve the phone but fails to do so, police comes and arrest him.

At the hospital, Young Min tells Ji Hyun’s father the truth, that he knows his daughter whose been wandering around and she’s asked him not to tell him anything. He then decides to show him Ji Hyun’s body in the hospital, so he goes to see her. He’s over the moon to learn she’s alive. He cries by her side.

At the police station, Gyu Jin refuses to admit to anything and says the detectives are trying to pin the crimes on him. They’re frustrated. In another questioning, they pull up medical records that confirms his murders but he still denies it.

At the hospital, Ji Hyun wakes up at last. She’s happy to see her father and young Min asks if she remembers him. She does.

At the police station, nurse Hee Yeon decides to turn herself in. she shows the police evidence and burner phones she’s used. She says she committed all the crimes. As a result, Gyu Jin is set free.

She then is transported to prison where she ends up committing suicide leaving behind a note still trying to cover up for Gyu Jin.

When the couple finds out he’s out, they decide to take matters into their own hands. Ji-Hyun asked to be used as bait. So they end up doing so, when Gyu Jin is back at the hospital, the nurse tells him Ji-Hyun is at their hospital, so he decides to go and kill her.

When he’s about to do that, she wakes up and he’s startled, Young Min attacks him and he barely escapes. Gyu Jin ends up taking the highway and going on a car chase with the police and Young Min. They end up catching him and bringing him to justice.

At the hospital, the couple sees him and he promises he’ll kill both of them.

After the case is wrapped up, the couple ends up going on dates and holding hands. They also share their first official kiss.

At prison, Gyu Jin begins to see the ghosts of the people he’s murdered, they will drive him crazy. He screams for his life as he sees those ghosts.

Ji Hyun makes a full recovery and goes back to the force, she’s transferred to the same place as her father. When asked to take her first day off, she goes on a date with Young Min and the rest of the taxi service squad. They play bowling.

They also go to see the shaman and thank him. Young Min then asks why he couldn’t see his mother. The shaman points him towards the place she couldn’t leave. So he goes there.

When he arrives he sees her, the mother is happy to see him too. He cries his eyes out and apologizes for making his mother wait for this long. She asks him to always smile like that. Ji Hyun introduces herself too and cries apologizing for ‘causing’ her death. The mother tells her not to blame herself.

At dinner, Young Min is still on the verge of tears. He apologizes for not being the best son, Ji Hyun also tells her she’ll be by his side. The mother is assured hearing this so she leaves.

On another day

The grandma wakes up from a dream seeing the ghost of Ji Hyun. When she wakes up, Young Min introduces his girlfriend to her when he comes to visit. She’s happy it’s the same woman and gives her a hug.

On another day

Ji Hyun sees her boyfriend Young Min who is in his taxi, they talk about a case which is nearing the statue of limitations. They go investigate together and pick up a ghost whose been killed for over 20 years.

They introduce themselves as the only taxi exclusive for ghosts and embark on another journey.

The end.
