Lee Goon keeps wondering why he recalls Ju-Yeon in his memories despite the treatment.
The next day, Ju-Yeon attends a disciplinary hearing where she asks for the maximum penalty. Then, Lee Goon comes inside and gives his testimony and says if he had to do the treatment again, he won’t.
After he gives his testimony, he goes away avoiding her and then the minister investing in the project comes in and says he’s backing out due to hearing about what happened. He hears a test subject died due to this and the story is assured by Han Dong-Chil. Then, Yoon Te-O will also be subjected to a disciplinary committee.
Sae-Yan is locked up because her father kidnapped her, she recalls how Ju-Yeon was there for her and decides to try to get away.
Lee Shin is told they have photos of the stalker and he checks it with Lee Goon who is alarmed seeing his photo. They’re still under the impression that Sae-Yan is safe.
Sae-Yan finds a credit card machine and uses Ju-Yeon’s card to alert her she’s wrong. When Lee Shin comes to see Ju-Yeon at her hospital after she has been dismissed, they get a fake message from her phone asking her to stay at the clinic, so they separate.
Lee Goon discovers Ahn Hyo-Myeong’s connection and how he killed Ju-Yeon’s father so he calls Lee Shin to check up on her, when he discovers she went back to her clinic, he rushes there.
Despite not knowing if Sae-Yan is truly safe, Lee Shin checks out the place the credit card was binged at. He then discovers her there and rescues her.
Ahn Hyo-Myeong ambushes Ju-Yeon at her clinic and reminds her of the teddy bear she held watching her father die before her eyes. She is deeply hurt and goes into panic mode while he screams at her about how she’s preventing him from being with his daughter.
Lee Goon arrives and gets into a fight with him as he’s about to kill her and police steps in immediately to rescue both. After he’s arrested, Sae-Yan tells her dad to stop harassing the people around her who are also her family, he yells at her and loses his mind.
We go back in time to when the murder of Ju-Yeon’s father happened. Ahn Hyo-Myeong had located his wife and daughter who were on the run and then chased after the father, he then killed him in his clinic the same time the two mothers found out he’s in town and they’ve been found out.
Sae-Yan’s mother takes her and they run away while Ju-Yeon comes to see her father and sees him lying on the ground. She’s holding that teddy bear, she collapses.
After she recovered, Sae-Yan visits her and they hug it out, she does not blame her for her father’s crimes.
Sae-Yan then is about to leave to Italy and meets with Lee Goon to assure him she’s not his 1st love and that medal she kept was because she liked it. She also tells him Ju-Yeon is leaving as well and if he wants her he must hurry.
He then recalls its her and is assured she’s his 1st love. Lee Goon tries to chase after her but stops and does not pursue her.
3 years have passed
Ju-Yeon is accepting an award for her contributions to mental health. Lee Goon finds out she’s in town and then both go back to the place where she saved his life. They both gaze lovingly at each other and hug. They’ve reunited.
