ENA’s original drama “The Day of Kidnapping” (Screenwriter Kim Je Young, Director Park Yoo Young) will begin shooting in earnest after casting actors Yoon Kye Sang, Park Sung Hoon, Yuna, Kim Shin Rok, Kim Sang Ho, Seo Jae Hee, and Kang Young Seok.
“The Day of Kidnapping” is an emotional thriller that contains a special collaboration between a clumsy kidnapper and an 11-year-old genius girl. Based on the novel of the same name by Jung Hae Yeon, who represents the Korean thriller genre, this work stands out in an exquisite harmony of humanism and mystery. Expectations are high that the erratic and delightful pursuit of the truth between a sloppy kidnapper and a genius girl will provide a different kind of fun and excitement. It is written by Kim Je Young, who received favorable reviews through “Miss Wife”, “Come See Me”, and “Cheese in the Trap”, and directed by Park Yoo Young, who participated in “A Model Family”, “Love Alarm Season 2” and “Kingdom Season 1”.
Yoon Kye Sang will play the clumsy and weak-minded kidnapper Kim Myung Jun. Kim Myung Jun is a person who is caught up in an unexpected incident and pursued as a murder suspect while planning a kidnapping to pay for his daughter’s hospital bills. Yoon Kye Sang, who has been transforming without limit across genres, returns with a new face once again. Park Sung Hoon plays the role of Park Sang Yoon, a homicide detective who is chasing Kim Myung Jun. Possessing quick judgment and cool-headed analysis, he tracks down the kidnapping case. Park Sung Hoon is expected to unravel the change of a character who faces an unexpected secret as he approaches the truth. Park Sung Hoon, who recently played the role of a luxury villain in “The Glory”, is expected to make a transformation.
Yuna will play Choi Ro Hee, a genius girl who lost her memory. Choi Ro Hee, who has an unusually cynical and extraordinary brain, overcomes her crisis by forming a strange bond with her kidnapper, Kim Myung Jun. As she is a central figure in the story, the production team put a lot of effort into casting her role. Through five large-scale auditions, Yuna broke through a competition rate of 500:1 and was finally selected. Expectations are high on what kind of synergy Yuna will have with Yoon Kye Sang, who showed impressive acting in “Pachinko”.
Kim Shin Rok takes on the role of Seo Hye Eun, the ex-wife of Kim Myung Jun. She is the one who proposes the abduction of Choi Ro Hee. Kim Shin Rok, who left an impact through “Reborn Rich” will show her true value once again. In addition, Kim Sang Ho, an actor with a thousand faces, plays Park Cheol Won, a security company employee, and Seo Jae Hee, who performed impressive performances in “Reborn Rich” and “Twenty Five Twenty One”, adds to the immersion as neurosurgeon Mo Eun Seon. Kang Young Seok, who has an ever-changing charm, transforms into Jayden, a fund manager who dares to do anything to achieve his goal.
